Terms of Service

Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Daily Five (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the App. No hard feelings.

What Daily Five Is

Daily Five is a companion application designed to help you think through Wordle puzzles. It’s a scratchpad for your brain—a place to organize your thoughts, mark letters, and work through possibilities.

Important: Daily Five is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to The New York Times or the official Wordle game. “Wordle” is a trademark of The New York Times Company. We’re just fans who built a tool.

License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. In plain English: you can use it, but please don’t try to sell it or claim you made it.

In-App Purchases

The App may offer optional in-app purchases for additional features. All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple’s terms. Purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by law. If you have issues with a purchase, please contact Apple Support.

What You Agree Not to Do

Please don’t:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use the App for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to access parts of the App you shouldn’t
  • Remove any copyright notices or proprietary markings
  • Use the App in ways that could damage or impair its functionality
  • Redistribute the App or its components

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do our best to make it work well, but we can’t guarantee it will be perfect, uninterrupted, or error-free. Technology is complicated.

We make no warranties about:

  • The accuracy or completeness of any content
  • The App being available at all times
  • Results you may or may not achieve using the App
  • Whether the App will help you solve today’s Wordle (fingers crossed, though)

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

This includes (but isn’t limited to) loss of data, loss of profits, or damage to your device. Our total liability for any claims is limited to the amount you paid for the App (which, since the base App is free, might not be much).

Changes to the App

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any features at any time without notice. We’re always trying to make things better, but sometimes that means things change.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we’ll update this page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the App ends.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with applicable law.

Apple App Store Terms

Your use of the App is also subject to Apple’s App Store Terms of Service. In case of conflict between these Terms and Apple’s terms regarding use of the App Store, Apple’s terms will prevail.
