Privacy Policy

The Short Version

We don’t collect your data. At all. Everything stays on your device. In fact, there’s not even really any data to collect to begin with, so it’s a bit of a moot point.

The Slightly Longer Version

Daily Five is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe your word-guessing habits are your business, not ours.

What We Collect

Nothing. Zero. Zilch.

We don’t collect, store, or transmit any personal information to external servers. We don’t use analytics. We don’t track you. We don’t even know you exist (in the nicest possible way).

What Stays on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device only:

  • Your game board configurations and letter states (this is not even really preserved locally; you may find the board completely bare the next time you open the app)
  • App settings and preferences (theme, high contrast mode, etc.)
  • Purchase information for in-app purchases (managed by Apple’s StoreKit)
  • Tutorial completion status

This data never leaves your device. It’s yours and yours alone. We don’t even want to know.

In-App Purchases

If you choose to make in-app purchases, those transactions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We don’t have access to your payment information, billing details, or any financial data. For information on how Apple handles purchase data, please refer to Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services

We don’t use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services. There are no hidden SDKs phoning home in the background.

Children’s Privacy

Daily Five does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13 years of age. Since we don’t collect data from anyone, there’s nothing to worry about here.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our privacy practices (which would be strange since our current practice is “collect nothing”), we’ll update this page.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Delete the app and all associated local data at any time
  • Use the app without providing any personal information (because we don’t ask for any)
  • Sleep soundly knowing your word choices aren’t being analyzed by an algorithm somewhere
